Designed for long periods on the bike, technical lycra fibers combine a soft feel for the skin with efficient temperature regulation.

When we sat down to the design the TCR jersey together with Mike Hall, founder of the Transcontinental race there were several things we wanted to do.
First we wanted to make a jersey that wasn’t just like an event jersey, one that didn't shout out “I did this” but instead was modest like the racers of the TCR themselves. We wanted it to be a jersey that everyone could wear because it was a nice jersey, regardless of it being a TCR jersey but also it has more subtle meaning for fans of the race and those who support what we do, so they can wear it as a symbol which will mean something extra also.
The lines, mountains and dots of the TCR design are symbols of the race. The dots are the racers’ map markers, represented as 3 in podium position, fighting for the top spot. There are many long distance adventures out there and the Transcontinental is very much an adventure for all those who take it on but it is also very proudly a race which adds the extra excitement and requires extra courage. The mountain peaks represent the control points and each representing the challenges that face the racers. The lines represent the many racers each taking their own path and doing it their own way. In the spirit of self-reliance they cross yet do not touch each other and while they are alone on the road they are also together in part of a bigger picture and are bonded by the experience..
We wanted to make a jersey which would suit the long distance cyclist well because we know well that when riders can only take one jersey then it must be something that is well thought about, versatile and hardwearing. We chose a full length zip to make stops, changes and temperature adjustments easy. We made the sleeves longer to protect the arms from burning on long days in the sun and provide a secure overlap with arm warmers in the chilly morning and evenings. We chose a neutral grey colour that would stay looking good after days and weeks at the wheel and compliment any gilet and jacket but not absorb the blazing heat from a midday sun. We reinforced the pockets to withstand the inevitable cramming of energy bars, snacks, and the occasional extra bottle.

Mike Hall: “I took the prototype of the TCR jersey with me on the 2016 Tour Divide and it was all I wore. It passed the test. From the cold and rainy tops of snow filled passes of Northern Montana to the intimidating heat of the Gila wilderness in New Mexico. It arrived in Antelope wells in better condition than any other jersey in which I have completed such a ride.”
